The Human Feeling of Puffing Yourself Up

The word "HEART" has been used as a representation of a person's inward status long before.

In a writing, when you encounter the word "HEART", it does  not necessarily mean the vital organ which pumps blood throughout your whole body.

The meaning depends on the usage. Find context clues :)

So right now, let us clarify the meaning of the "HEART" we are talking about :)

This  "HEART" we are going to use here is the person's inward status. Whatever aspect of "inward status" that may be :)

Heart issues have been my issue for the past days.

I am being reminded that the inward is more important than the outward.

It is easy to go along with life while neglecting the state of your heart.

Have you ever felt the feeling of "acting okay" even if you know you have an enemy nearby whom you "try to neglect"?

What you feel in there is uncomfortability. You know that you have to settle that first before you can actually be "free" again. It is so restraining!

You know, it is actually SO EASY to go to church every Sunday....
Dress well and act okay.
Go on with your church ministries and school stuffs...
And other extracurricular activities...

It is easy to go on with your life at school or work
PERFORM rather than minister

It is easy to SHOW OFF what you got

It is very easy to lead the focus to yourself

But it is NOT easy to restrain the human feeling of puffing yourself up

The state of my heart became an "ISSUE" to me, since God has been showing me that as a Christian my life is already offered to Him.

When I perform, I perform for Him.

I am for His eyes.

My selfish ambitions should be thrown away... Far... far away...
They are not suitable for me anymore.

Many times I have put my "hope" and my "trust" on myself and on the things that I can do.

I have neglected God, since I know I can do these stuff.

"I have done them before, and they were so successful. I do not need God anymore."

Then the focus shifts to me instead of HIM.
And I do NOT want that to happen again. :(

That path is so misleading.
You may though that you are a "good Christian"
When in fact, YOUR GOD IS YOURSELF!

It is so hard to COMPETE with God in HIS place in your life.
Especially when you BOTH know that HE IS THE RIGHTFUL ONE.
