IgGirl: ELDERLY PRUDENT (A Poem)

I made this poem during high school (2004-2009) or during my higher elementary years :)

I'm going to interpret the meaning of it :)

I remember I wrote this poem under the big tree in our school.
There are many big trees at school, but this one is special,
because we always go here.

We conducted a class under that tree also.
It's a very comfortable and inspiring place to write a poem.

I think the idea that went through was GREAT :D
I hope you like it!

GLORY BE TO GOD WHO USED ME AS AN instrument :)

4 stanzas
12 syllables each line

I'm not really sure of the words I used. Pls do COMMENT if you find errors hehe...

ELDERLY PRUDENT

STANZA 1

Acquire no one by his youthfulness or beauty.
He may bring you to drought, claiming you entirely.
Reap not fruit unless it built itself completely.
Affection is strong when built in comraderie.

Do NOT use physical attraction as a basis of getting a lifetime partner. That so superficial. Their beauty is an indication of their good genes and NOT really as a good mother or father.
The lifetime partner you choose could lead you to the wrong way or CONSUME all you got. You PARTNER with him/ her, so it means that you are him/ her. He/she may CLAIM your ENTIRELY. DO NOT LOOSE YOURSELF.

Do NOT CHOOSE someone who has NOT YET matured. People CHANGE along the way. ALLOW THEM TO GROW. Look.. the person you hate now may be the guy/girl you will want tomorrow. :D

To do #3, KNOW THE PERSON completely. I mean REALLY. Look at him/her without bias. JUST BE A FRIEND. No signals or what so ever. CATCH HIM/ HER OFF-GUARD. You'll see the real him/her. DOES he/she really have a nice attitude or does she/her just do that because he/she knows you are watching? Do NOT be fooled by fake attitudes. Stay with him/her for a LONG time.

How does he/she reacts when you forgot a thing she/he asks you to do?
When she/he got wet from road water?
When a deadline is just for an hour?
When she/he is NOT recognized?
When someone wants to FIGHT with him/her?
And the other UNWANTED situations. The FAILURES and all. How does he/she reacts to it?

STANZA 2
Best comrades are not found but laid in love and deed.
Cling to someone they don't if not faithfully feed.
Climbing plants need trellis in order to be lead.
Honesty is to intimacy to be read.

As the song goes "Lucky I'm in love with my best friend". Yeah. You are that lucky :) Most of us look for our lifetime partners elsewhere when all the time, the person who knows you most is your best friend :) Yeah, there is a thrill when you meet someone new, but your relationship foundation with that person will NOT be so strong as your best friend who already saw your BEST and WORST yet STILL ACCEPTS you :) Better start with friendship

When you JUST MET that person, he or she may give you the wrong him/her. She/ he may fake it all for you to like him/her, because he/she wants you to like him/her too. But when he/she do NOT want you anymore or changed his/her mind, he/she has the tendency to DROP you, because he/she does NOT know your value, the things you went through, your reasons behind every insecurity, anger, boredom in the things he/she likes, etc. Again, better start with friendship

CHOOSE someone whom you know has LEAD his/her life to the right path. An OBVIOUS SIGN for this is his/her REPUTATION. This could be FAKED, so search for the people close to her/him like his/her housemates, family, schoolmates, childhood whoevers, etc.

Better start with friendship, because with your friends you could be REAL, plain HONEST. You could tell your best friend that you are hurt by this small act, that you find this thing kinda attractive, that you need to poo now!!!, that you can't breath because you have a booger on your nose, etc.

Yeah, that was gross but that is just HONEST because you are INTIMATE with someone. I mean, really INTIMATE with someone. Wouldn't you like that? Someone whom you can NOT hide anything? And who would ACCEPT you even the situation is NOT comfortable or beneficial for him/her anymore? :)

Stanza 3

Commit your own inexperienced instruments, so
Your trainings would not be means for you to be low.
Some other time will surely come, yet fresh will go.
You won't be close and able to serve so say "No!"

What I meant by "commit" is to COMMIT YOURSELF, YOUR WHOLE POTENTIAL AND FUTURE to GOD. Okay, so I may sound so religious, but hey! If He ain't real, why can humans can NOT get Him out of the picture for REAL? Something has touched humans. Can NOT deny Him.

So, let's move on ok? :)

COMMIT yourself to GOD, because only HE can guide your path. You want to meet someone who is almost PERFECT? Then be the ONE! Be PREPARED and MATCH for him/ her! That is why we call the "perfect someones" as God-sent.

Do this COMMITMENT to GOD, because in ourselves we can NOT lead ourselves. We can NOT see the end from the beginning. You can NOT guide yourself if you yourself do NOT know the right path! Do NOT be WISE in your OWN eyes! Your leading is NOT as reliable as God's. See for yourself. COMMIT yourself to HIM :)

Do this COMMITMENT to GOD NOW! This may be the time that you are being CALLED. You may say that you still have enough time, that you are young, that you will just ASK FOR JESUS when you grow older. Old enough when you will almost die, so that when you die you will go to heaven. WRONG!

That is NOT how it goes.

You will get enticed into this world. Many things may attract you and consume your time. Later on you will just realize that you have wasted your time on nothing really important. Friends leave you. Your beauty sag, and you are not as popular as the younger ones emerging. You are NOT as competitive as before. You body is already preparing for death. You do NOT have much time now. DO NOT WAIT FOR THAT TIME. THE BEST TIME IS NOW. THE TIME TO BE WISE IS NOW! You are NOT as young as when you have started reading this article. That is how time goes. It's FAST!

Your choices now determine your future. You may feel like you are drifting in a calm ocean. NO specific place to go. Just hanging around because you still have much time to search for a land in the future. You just let your boat be pushed by any water current. You sometimes row to an island you find attractive. But that island could not sustain you for so long. You really have to find a good, fertile land for yourself. As time goes by, you are still considering to CHOOSE God, but the water current is DRIFTING you apart. Remember, you have allowed yourself to be so.SAY "YES" to God NOW BEFORE IT GETS HARD FOR YOU TO DO SO.
Although nothing is too hard for God. But will you wait till it gets HARD for you? GOD will really CHIP OFF unnecessary parts of you :) He knows best. He creates masterpieces from trash :) It is NEVER too LATE. But as you extend it, it becomes HARD.

Stanza 4

Unsagging aroma keeps on following you,
Whether you are enticed to to the green or blue.
Attention claiming ideas are not just few.
Posture yourself on an unagitated hue.

When you have been guided to the RIGHT path, everything just FALL INTO PLACE :) You can NOT make a righteous one stumble. His/her path is FLAWLESS (Thanks to God who is ever so perfect :) )

This person GROWS OLD GRACEFULLY :) The body may be aging but NOT THE SOUL.

REMEMBER and be WARNED: There are many things that could distract you. Many things that you could do. Many things but NOT ALL are BENEFICIAL. You must PRIORITIZE and be WISE in using your LIFE and TIME. A time lost is a life lost. You can NOT save up life or time. The BEST way to save life and time is to SPEND IT WISELY.
