DRAINED of the "Good" Thing: Going to Church, Ministering

Have you ever felt tied of and drained of doing the "good" things?

Well, let's be more specific.

I had spend an almost a whole day at church. More like spending time in school.

I my standards, I have done a "very good" thing.

I am already "holy". I could go on with the week and be "refreshed" and "fed" once more next Sunday.

But really, nothing seems to change.

I feel empty. And my relationship with God is dead.

But hey! I have spent a few hours in church. I'm already "good".

Imagine yourself in this situation. Relate to this :)

If you miss someone so badly, do you just stare at his/her pictures? Or just smell his/her clothes?

How about just visiting his/her facebook account?

Or just re-read his/her letter to you? just recall your last conversation with him/ her?

No!

We can't stand that!

We have to call him/ her

Meet him/ her and spend quality time with him/ her

same thing with God. :)

Nothing could "substitute" our time spent with him alone.

No matter what we do "for him" in our perspective, only by spending time with Him could we really be fulfilled with our longing for him.

It really does take time. You cannot build a relationship by being cheap with your efforts.

nothing could substitute a person.

you cannot equal a person with his/her things, no matter how much they (the things) represent the person

Praying and having personal devotions/ quiet time has no substitute.

Even your sigh is already a communication to God. He knows what you are about to tell before you even tell HIm.

but as vital and as important to us that the person we love talk to us, so does God.

He values every conversation we make with him.

we know that we are eager to help the person we love at all times.

But talking with them is a pleasure, whether they just approach us to just ask for help or just talk to us about anything.

if you are asking and wondering why God does not answer our prayers, or if God already knew what we are going to ask, then why does He not do it....

Remember the many things He has given without you asking (Life everyday, food, shelter, health, wisdom, talents, resources, etc.)

Ask God personally about your questions.

He is more than real and available to speak to you through your language :)

Date with HIm :)
